Dental Caries – A General Disease
Tooth decay (Dental Caries) a problem these days people generally suffer from, is mainly due to acid made by bacteria which leads to breakdown of teeth. It also causes demineralization and destruction of teeth. Generally, tooth decay is identified as white spot on surface of teeth in its first appearance and later continues to demineralize and forms brownish discoloration of teeth leading to CAVITY FORMATION.
It is advised to consult the dentist for immediate treatment. However tooth decay can easily be prevented by maintaining good oral hygiene by brushing twice a day and getting professional scaling done by dentist twice a year.
General Advice: Using soft bristle brush with mild abrasive toothpaste and flossing can easily help preventing tooth decay and other oral diseases.
